Dr. Dikran Deragopian started his dental education at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dentistry. As he developed his dental skills, he found his calling in Oral surgery. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2001, then he continued to pursue his passion in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specialty.
He trained at the University of Kentucky Dental School and Medical Center in Lexington for six years. He completed extensive training in various areas of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery including extractions, dental implants, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, pathology, reconstructive surgery, general anesthesia, and cosmetic surgery.
During his residency, he also completed his medical training and obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2005. After that, he completed one year in general surgery and one year as a chief resident in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery where he was involved in training and teaching other residents and students. In 2007 he graduated and built his Oral Surgery practice in Brentwood.
After graduation, he pursued his passion for excellence, and completed the written and verbal examination to become American Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Licenses & Professional Organizations
Dr. Deragopian has both a dental and medical license in the state of California and has been serving the community in Brentwood since 2007.
He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
He is a current member of the American Dental Association, the California Associations of Oral & Maxillofacial surgeons, the Contra Costa county Dental Society, and the California Dental Association. Dr. Deragopian holds privileges and is an active staff member in Sutter Delta Medical Center.
